  • Position: General Manager and Sales Director
  • Report to: Vice President & General Manager, Asia
  • Locations: Seoul and Yangsan, Korea
Main Objective
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Establish KA as a main player and win profitable business in PV and grow the CV business including AM.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Relationship development between Korea OEM / 1 tier customer accounts and KA Korea / KA group and participate in presentations with OEM or Tier1 customers with representing the company where natural and required
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Negotiation the price of new business and maintain and re–negotiate current contracts including LTAs
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Initiate growth objectives with customers and ensure all submitted quotations are completed fully and within the guidelines of KA processes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Propose cost-saving activities based on internal and external expectations to contribute towards increasing the competitiveness of the products.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Building relationships with key strategic customers. Support of the marketing organisation with regard to deliveries, quality performance, logistics, visits and so on.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Develop and implement strategic plans, with cooperation of the management team; set operational targets and budgets that support the P&C Strategic Planning (STP), priorities and policy deployment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Ensure that business objectives and targets are clearly communicated to the local organisation and address the ways to generate the profit.

  • Profitability of our Korean business
  • Responsible and accountable for the entire external sales and marketing business activity in Korea, PV, CV and after market
  • Continuously push for and identify new business opportunities for PV, CV and other KA products
  • Responsible for implementing the sales strategy and the achievement of targets as set forth in STP, RF and running NO list as well as improvement plans
  • Responsible for top line development in RF and STP process in Korea
  • Secure quote approval at right level according to KA rules including margins, conditions and contracts
  • Secure implementation and update of Customer Roadmaps and Value Based Selling/Pricing according to KA processes
  • Secure Win Strategy and Value Propositions are worked out for all key business targets
Requirements
  • Experienced General Manager in Automotive electronic Tier1 in Korea
  • Over 10 years sales experience in (international) automotive industry as a leader
  • Excellent at creating and maintaining relationship with customer
  • Able to communicate in written and spoken English
  • University degree - master or bachelor
