Quality Technician II

About the position

Our Off-Highway business segment is a leading supplier in the design and manufacture of mechatronic assemblies, pedals, steering columns, and mechanical cables for the agricultural, construction, powersports and outdoor power equipment markets. This segment is now seeking a Quality Technician II at our Willis, Texas facility.

The Quality Technician II will initiate and coordinate quality-related data collection activities from production, warranty or process improvement actions and generate reports on this data using statistical techniques. Will also coordinate external service providers for QMS, EMS and OH&SMS.

Responsibilities

To plan and conduct inspection and test activities to assure the quality of assigned product or component

To document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures

To communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities

To provide recommended process improvements to management

Advanced measurement of components and assemblies using precision equipment

Handling, follow up and communication of quality investigation results

Support of quality defect investigation

Responsibility for customer communication and system updates related to warranty

Requirements

2 to 5 years experience in an active quality role

Basic GD&T and quality core tools knowledge

Good communication (oral and written) in English

Co-operative team player

Good negotiation skills

A high degree of personal integrity and confidence

Ability to make quick decisions based on a combination of experience as well as advice from other people
