Cost Engineer

For our location in Hallbergmoos, Germany, or Warsaw, Poland, we are looking for an enthusiastic Cost Engineer (f/m/d) to carry out costing for purchased products, assemblies and tools, as well as negotiate findings together with purchasing.

Responsibilities

As a Cost Engineer, you will be key member of our team, contributing to ensure the competitiveness of our products. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Cost Analysis: Conducting comprehensive cost analyses for existing products and projects to identify optimization opportunities.
• Cost Estimations: Generating accurate cost estimates for new product developments, considering material costs, labor hours, processes, and other relevant factors.
• Supplier Management: Collaborating with our global suppliers to identify and negotiate cost-effective sourcing options.
• Cost Transparency: Providing transparent cost information and reports to management and project teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Initiating and monitoring measures for continuous cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential cost risks and developing strategies for risk mitigation.
• Communication: Working closely with our global teams to effectively communicate cost information and develop solutions.
• Lean Management: Perform Lean Workshops at our suppliers site in collaboration with the supplier and a cross functional team to optimize costs, cycletimes, quality and to ensure commercial agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
• First experience in production environment, preferably in automotive industry or similar environment
• First experience with manufacturing technologies, CAD-software
• Technical understanding and ability to read drawings
• Business fluent in English
• Strong appearance, confidence, interest in new technologies, independence, ability to learn quickly, high willingness to travel
