Global Category Buyer (resin/ plastic raw material)

About the position

We are currently looking for a Global Category Buyer within the Corporate Purchasing Organization, MET, category: resin/ plastic raw material. This position will be based in Warsaw (Poland).

Responsibilities

•                Mapping future needs and leveraging Kongsberg Automotive spend to maximize benefit for KA

•                Establishing a base of preferred suppliers

•                Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies for assigned category

•                Supplier relationship management

•                Capturing savings through benchmark, sourcing/RFQs activities

•                Establishing good contracting and acceptance practices

•                Managing Supplier Feasibility Evaluation

•                Leading supplier negotiations and selecting suppliers in accordance with defined process & strategy

•                Monitoring adherence to commercial agreements, performance, and capacity of suppliers

•                Ensuring supplier data is maintained in ERP system and supplier portal

Requirements

To be successful in this position, we see that the candidate meets the below qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience as a buyer or category leader in automotive and related industry, with proven negotiation skills
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Business Management and/or Engineering
• Analytical and structured and being able to drive the category independently
• Strong communication skills and business mind-set
• A proactive, goal-oriented and cross-functional approach
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Flexible and comfortable in a rapidly changing and demanding matrix organization.
• Business fluent in English and Polish written and spoken
