  1.  Main objectives
  • You will be the technical info contact window to collect, translate customer needs and transfer to KA R&D team,  including feasibility study at early stage, support the RFQ at CER stage. You are motivated to solve technical issues in development phase
  • You will apply a systematic product development approach to translate customer needs into product functions and designs, including prototype realization and validation testing. You are motivated to solve design challenges including mechanical, hardware and software in development stage, resulting into innovative products.
  • To rationalise the number of components that have similar functional characteristics sharing and communicating knowledge within the product teams across the regions.
  • Be coordinator most of the time, promote effective communication between R&D team and client, and assist R&D team to understand customer needs.


  1.  Areas of responsibility
  • Keep technical communication with customer team, and good at understanding customer requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis for customer input, some initial structure design is needed.
  • Any official technical discussion with the customer, detail meeting minutes should be sent back to R&D team.
  • You will go to customer plant for business trips, deal with some urgent requirements from customer, such as sample breakdown, some of sample quality complaints and so on.
  • Review Customer Service Engineers input for advanced development projects and follow up advanced developments closing needs (gaps)
  • Compliance of processes as directed through the Management system, Follow other reasonable arrangements of KA company.
  • To observe public law, directives, provisions and concessions with regard to health, environment and safety, and to follow agreements made with external and internal parties.
  • To ensure on-time execution of programs and customer milestones delivery.
  • Seek technical opportunities of new projects, keep good relationship with customer engineer team.
  • Obey other reasonable arrangement of KA Company, and comply with customer side’s rules and regulations.


  1. Competence profile (ideal)
  • You should have system design background including mechanical/electrical, professional technical knowledge on automotive driveline product.
  • You have an academic degree in a technical discipline, master or bachelor, preferable Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • Proven track record in product development of mechanical systems, inside the Automotive or Truck industry, preferably in Driveline products
  • You should be nimble and well-communicated, and preferable project management ability
  • You are a self-motivated pro-active team worker, to work in a structured way, both independently and in a team.
  • You have an innovative and creative mindset with good technical skills.
  • You have product design experience with CATIA V5 or other CAD software will be better
  • You have system calibration experience with be better.
  • You have ability to build and develop customer relationships.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • You have good verbal and written English is a plus.

  • To keep delivery and programs’ gates on time.
  • To minimize design changes, improve design efficiency, and save development costs.
  • To minimize customer complaints and improve customer satisfaction.
  • To use K-brief (3A report) for work optimization to meet “Do It Right at First Time” target.
  • To maximize value of products’ contribution margin.



  1. Other Attributes
  • The job will involve travel to customer and KA locations as required, according to the principle of voluntariness, and may involve extended length of stay to support customer new project development, also support KA strategic activities as directed by the Business Area Director.
  • KA Company will pay a certain subsidies (out-of-salary) for lead Engineer, including accommodation, catering and transportation expenses and so on.
