About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for an account manager to join our industrial sales team to help develop the business and achieve its ambitious growth plans. We are looking for someone who will thrive at building long term relationships with both existing and new Chinese customers. The successful candidate will play a key part in creating and implementing new business strategies to grow the business in line with agreed targets.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve a level of customer intimacy and develop strong customer relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Perform proactive customer visits, both with existing customers and potential new strategic accounts in China and make an immediate impact on our business by closing new sales in line with the business strategy.
  • Deliver Sales presentations to key customers’ engineering, purchasing and management groups.
  • Drive for results internally and externally by communicating with customers and the internal teams to secure best results for the customer.
  • Direct sales planning/forecasting activities and set target goals accordingly for the respective accounts.
  • Review served market to determine and clarify customer needs / expectations, market pricing, technology advancements, competitor activities or opportunities and report back within the group.
  • Maintain monthly sales reports, business growth charts identifying business opportunities and areas of focus for product development.
  • Actively report to the industrial sales team successes, areas for improvement and accounts at risk in a timely manner to ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures and promote the vision and represent Kongsberg automotive both inside and outside the company.

Requirements

Required:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience. Please note full technical training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Ability in negotiating and closing deals.
  • Fast paced customer focused attitude.
  • Confidence to work alone whist contributing to a multifunctional team.
  • Ability to make quick decisions based on a combination of experience as well as taking advice.
  • Ability to visit customers in selected markets for 70% of working week.
  • Confidence in travelling and driving across China
  • Excellent English written and English verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • High IT Literacy - MS OfficeSAP experience.
