Responsibilities:

This position is a role between KA and its PCBA supplier to manage the material availability and stock level targeting for customer demand fulfillment and KA liability minimization. The KPI is Spot buy cost, OBS cost, inventory DOH

The main job scope will be:

  1.  
  • Cross department (Sales manager, Production planner, PCBA supplier…) communication to understand the business case.
  • Attend S&OP meeting to obtain the trend of customer demand
  • Understand clearly the material liability agreement that is contractually in place among customers, KA and suppliers.
  • Analyze the trends of order / forecast information received and the actual delivered volume
  • Simulate the scenarios of current on-hand and in-pipe stock level to come out the proposal of E-component planning when forecast changed
  • Drive the supplier to update the material availability/machine capacity/ manpower, review and challenge their analysis to ensure the numbers are reasonable followed with practical action plan if needed
  • Consolidate all E-component stock (KA and its suppliers), monitor the stock level and liability, identify the possibility of E-component sharing between different PCBA suppliers.
  • Keep very close monitoring on the material obsoletion by digging the material stock data: Lead time, shelf life, date code, batch size, BoM version…Come out the proactive action plan and react to avoid material obsoletion or delivery stop.
  • Work with stockholders on the E-component inventory performance KPI by analyzing the components ’aging, order quantity, order time, Lead time, batch size on PCBA F/G & WIP, consignment stock to meet the target. 
  • Work with PM/Sales/Launch Manager/Production/ to schedule the E-component planning and follow up the material plan to guarantee the customer delivery with a minimum OBS amount, especially for new project launch, ECN, VAVE, EOP, Order/forecast cancellation.
  • Follow up with Finance/Project/Sales to clarify the liability and payment.
  • Generate the report proactively to present the risk assessment and liability to management team for further directions.
  • Improvement the supply chain process between KA and supplier to have a better synchronization.
  • Take divers strategy on different components based on their unit price, total value, lead time, commonization. Review, propose and adapt the strategy on E-components stock building, liability taking, spot buy…

 

REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATION:

 

  • 8+ years experiences in customer service and supply planning for automotive business
  • Pro-active, flexible and strong customer-oriented attitude
  • Rich experience on long lead time components planning
  • Better to have electronic components purchasing experience
  • Strong sense on the consequence of customer demand fluctuation
  • Possess knowledge of production planning and MRP, clearly understand the process or loading and changing the MPS, along with the impact on MRP and the Material planners.
  • Have sufficient understanding of the total supply chain (forwarders, agents, carriers, Incoterms…)
  • Good command of English communication, office, SAP
  • Self-driven and teamwork sense.
