Responsibilities
Primary operational purchasing responsibility – securing all purchasing needs for the plant, with additional category responsibility for raw materials (steel, tubes, bars, etc.) within the Drive Control Systems business area.
Price and contract negotiations with supplier – manage spend within categories.
Leading improvement projects from commercial perspective.
Connection point with project purchasing and stakeholders within assigned categories.
Secure bidders list for new projects and support within sourcing activities.
Risk management and secure suppliers are having necessary documentation and qualification in place.
Annual negotations with main suppliers.
Understanding raw material market and impact on pricing and secure commercially beneficial approach from company perpsective.
Visualization of exposure per raw material on part price.
Support plant in securing production related to supplier issues (in case needed).
Plant (where located) contact interface for Purchasing topics.
About the position
The Operational Buyer is primarily responsible for operational purchasing for the plant, covering all materials and services needed to support daily production. In addition, the role manages selected raw‑material categories such as steel, tubes, bars etc. within the Drive Control Systems business area. This hybrid setup ensures stable supply, competitive pricing, and strong coordination between the plant, suppliers, and project teams.
Requirements
Relevant purchasing/procurement experience within same or similar position for production plant.
Speak Slovak and English language.
Strong communication skills and business mind-set.
Negotiations skills.
SAP or ERP experience.
