Then join our team in Suffield CT, as a Reliability Engineer where you will support work with cross-functional teams to provide technical support to the operations team, implement sustainable engineering solutions and look for innovative ways to enhance operational excellence. You will be key in continuing to promote our strong quality culture towards customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and supplier development.
Responsibilities
Seeking Reliability engineer whose focus will be to determine, evaluate, and manage reliability of machine components, machines, and processes in a manufacturing setting where PTFE tube, stainless steel hose, and thermal plastic hose covers are manufactured.
Responsibilities:
-Loss elimination, track production losses and abnormally high maintenance costs, then find ways to reduce losses and high costs through root cause analysis with cooperation with production, engineering, and maintenance.
-Risk Management in line with organizations strategic plan in areas of safety, asset capability, quality, and production using hazard analysis, failure modes and effect analysis, criticality analysis, event tree analysis, and fault tree analysis tools.
-Reliability manufacturing role to work independently and as a team with manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and production.
-Develop criteria for evaluation of equipment and technical MRO (maintenance, repair and operating) suppliers and technical maintenance.
-The role will own and/or maintain reliability on existing and new manufacturing machines, components, and processes.
-Communicate/work with process integrators, manufacturing engineers, maintenance technicians to identify, design and launch reliability initiatives and projects.
-Support engineering, maintenance, and production with asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, other parameters that define reliability, operating conditions, and cost.
-Work to minimize risk and impact of failure in equipment and processes.
-Create work instructions, tooling, checklists, and other documentation that will improve reliability and reduce risk.
-Lead various reliability projects and develop new methods for the preventative diagnosis of machine, machine component and process failures.
-Work with maintenance department to identify and improve existing PM schedules and procedures.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in a production setting
- Must be able to work for any employer in the US without VIsa sponsorship
- Minimum 3 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial setting
- ISO/ IATF environment preferred
- Familiarity with 8D corrective process preferred
- Computer savvy including MS Office Suite and ERP, preferably SAP and Lighthouse
- Effective communication skills – both orally and written; must be comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization
- Must be well versed in Continuous Improvement methods (i.e. VSM, Standard Work, Mistake Proofing, etc)
- Excellent Time Management, Organizational and Attention to Details skills
