Key Account Manager

  1. Areas of responsibility
  • Lead commercial items for IAM sales; including but not limited to; quoting, price analysis and set strategies, negotiations, and monitor contract commitments as well as assess risks
  • Evaluate and develop relationships with new or assigned distributors, provide training and materials to distributor sales reps as needed
  • Help develop and update product catalog of available products
  • Identify IAM product trends, needs and opportunities, as well as analyse marketplace for areas to grow market share and set up new distribution
  • Understand competitor positions, product offerings and price levels
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and other support functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in product cost, design, quality, and delivery and ensure superior service to our customers
  • Set future demand forecasts for KA plants, including collecting/analyzing inputs from customers (S&OP planning)
  • Manage the product mix offerings and the gross margin volume to customers
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives to promote AM sales, as well as attend/participate in Automotive AM trade shows as required
  • Prepare professional action plans, performance and sales reports, and business plans to communicate AM business endeavours to department and company leadership as necessary
  • Make yearly departmental budgets and 5 year plan for aftermarket sales
  • Required:

  • BS Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in outside sales role. 3-5+ years experience in a IAM sales role is strongly preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems; MS office, MRP (SAP preferred)
  • Competence in English spoken language is mandatory.
  • Desirable:

  • Experience with the Commercial Vehicles (Truck & Bus)
  • Experience in selling hydraulic products, actuators, electro-mechanical products
  • Experience in Aftermarket Sales and distribution, new customer acquisition
  • Technical understanding of Automotive powertrain systems
