We are seeking a new Manufacturing Engineering Manager to our plant in Raufoss, Norway. As Manufacturing Engineering Manager you are responsible for developing and organizing world class manufacturing processes for the successful Raufoss Couplings. You will lead and coach an efficient and very competent engineering department. With the help of your material- and industry knowledge - and through your inspiring leadership style - you will be continuously improving our processes and production. Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for world-class manufacturing strategies.
• Develop career plans, training and performance plans for all direct reports.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide technical leadership and direction for all direct reports.
• Departmental capital budgeting and expenditures. Manager is accountable for variances and project expenses.,
• Responsible for Raufoss Capex budgeting and monitoring, CER preparation and support BU Couplings Capex budgeting and monitoring in coordination with BU Operations director.
• Develop and implement new products and new manufacturing processes.
• Support and implement continuous improvement activities and cost saving initiatives.
• Accountable for manufacturing including process modelling, design of tools, process validation, equipment selection, installation, manufacturability analysis and concurrent engineering support.
• Production process standardization, manufacturing documentation and process capability/validation activities for all department manufacturing processes.
• Support to develop and implement BU Couplings Production Technology Roadmap and matrix
• Location, area and equipment layout planning for Raufoss and support other BU locations in coordination with BU Operations director.

Requirements (ideal)

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Proven competences in project management and lean.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in automotive industry, preferably in similar position.
• Language: Proficient in written and oral English and a Scandinavian language.
• Responsible, efficient, flexible, strong communication and team skills
