Business Unit Controller Europe

Requirements

• University Degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent education
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience from plant controlling or operations
• Automotive experience a must
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Internal Auditing, Economics, Finance or equivalent
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP and preferable Hyperion systems

Responsibilities

• Identify key drivers to improve plant efficiency.
• Support with global controlling tasks for P&C
• Provide analysis of the financial reports on a monthly basis to identify areas where improvements are required in operational costs or where opportunities exist to increase GP.
• Define and manage a set of KPI’s which can be used to support the VP Operations in identifying trends in operational performance, highlighting issues by site that need focus.
• Proactively identify strategic issues and challenges for P&C Europe based on facts and analysis, propose actions for how to deal with them.
• Participate in and/or lead special strategic initiatives as required.
• Develop methodology for measuring progress of key actions vs plan.
• Collaborate well with key functions like finance, purchasing, logistics & program management in the daily work.
• Support the S&OP process by providing the analysis of changing customer demands and the effect of this on the rolling 18/24 month P&L forecasts.
• Manage the Financial Analyst
• Participate in P&C Operational meetings when relevant.
• Participate in the annual budgeting processes and support in quality assurance of the forecasts.

About the position

In this role, the incumbent will be given the opportunity to support the VP Finance and the wider EU team with analysis that provides a deep understanding of strategic issues for the Business units’ needs in Europe. Propose actions that enable P&C management team to make best possible strategic decisions. Support on execution of strategy. Work closely and constructively with VP Finance, VP Operations, VP Purchasing & Logistics Manager.
