Customs Supervisor

About the position

1. Responsible to ensure import/export operations comply with all applicable Mexico trade compliance laws.  Support U.S. import/export compliance functions as directed by the Customs Director. Participate in the implementation of a robust trade compliance program for the organization.

Responsibilities

1. 1. 1. Ensure operational compliance with all IMMEX program requirements
      2. Inventory controls (ANNEX 24/31) balance management and reporting
      3. Import/Export pedimentos for raw material, finished goods, and MRO
      4. Management of regime changes
      5. Free Trade Agreement qualification
      6. Permits
      7. PROSEC
      8. Mexico Broker Management: scorecards, regular meetings, compliance audits, bill/rate monitoring
      9. MX HTS Classification
      10. Compliance Training

Requirements

1. • -English proficiency is a must
   • -Intermediate experience with customs systems
   • -Strong technical knowledge of: IMMEX regulations and permits, VAT certifications, Free Trade Agreements, specifically USMCA, ANNEX 24 and 31, MX HTS Classification, PROSEC, 8th Rule, U.S. import/export,  compliance knowledge a plus, Basic Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
