Waranty Manager

About the position

Main Objectives

-Coordinate all North American ONH warranty activities

-Make sure field parts are returned in due time, and tested in relevant test equipment to review and approve/deny the claims within time limits given by customer

-Make financial warranty settlements according to contractual framework between KA and its customers

-Bring field learnings into KA’s PIP process to improve KA’s overall quality performance

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Combination of business and technology

Experience and skills

-Commercial and technical experience from automotive industry (preferable within warranty/reliability)

-Ability to get on with all kind of people in all kind of situations

-Interest and ability in commercial matters and negotiations

-Good business judgement- helicopter view

Responsibilities

Area of Responsibility

-Make sure field parts are tested, and answers/reports provided within time limits given in the customers’ warranty charters

-Review claims in portal, and provide answers in due time

- Perform statistical/trend analysis as an early warning system based on inputs from field data and our customers’ warranty supplier portals

-Settle claims financially, and avoid backlog

-Make sure adequate warranty provisions are made according to estimated field failure rate and budget limits

-Negotiate warranty contracts with the customers in accordance with P&C strategy

-Negotiate warranty settlements with the customers according to P&C strategy

-Map all decision makers and their decision criteria

 

 

Main Challenges

-Settle warranty claims within acceptable limits (provisions/budget) for P&C while maintaining the customer relationship

-Withstanding tough pressure from our customers

-Make sure learnings from the field are fed through our PIP process, so that KA’s quality performance is improved
