About the position
As Global Director Program Management, you will take full strategic and operational responsibility for programs within one of our Business Areas. You will lead global, cross-functional teams and ensure that products and systems are successfully delivered from innovation and concept phases through to stable serial production.
You will drive excellence in program execution by ensuring the consistent application and continuous improvement of our Management Systems, including Knowledge Based Development – New Product Integration (KBD-NPI) and the Product Improvement Process (PIP).
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for global programs and/or defined customer portfolios – from strategic targeting through to serial production
- Ensure flawless product launches in terms of quality, timing, and cost
- Lead, develop, and coach international Program Management teams
- Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of management systems, processes, and standards (KBD-NPI, PIP, QA routines)
- Collaborate strategically with Key Account Management to shape customer relationships and long-term business direction
- Own planning, execution, and control of program objectives, milestones, budgets, and resources
- Report program status and key risks to executive leadership and steering committees
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and build strong, sustainable customer relationships globally
- Identify and realize efficiency improvements across operations, design, and purchasing
- Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, health, safety, and internal quality standards
Requirements
- Extensive international leadership experience in program or project management, ideally in an industrial environment
- Proven track record in managing complex, global programs and product launches
- Strong understanding of product development, industrialization, and continuous improvement processes
- Deep knowledge of structured management systems and PLM environments
- Strong strategic, analytical, and business-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels
- Experience with budget ownership and financial control of large-scale programs
- Ability to inspire, lead, and align diverse global teams toward common goals
