Your day to day role will be to set and manage strategic planning and customer policy incorporationg all aspects of Sales and Operational Planning within manufacturing.
Work hand in hand with your operations team to ensure the smooth flow of materials to meet production needs and the outgoing transport and documentation for finished goods which are exported across Europe. You will have the opportunity to make this position your own by developing systems and procedures to streamline processes, plus collaborate with the wider logistics team in developing the wider logistics function.
Responsibilities
- All Processes & Procedures in the EU Logistics areas:
- Use and adoption of SAP across all Logistic related tasks, providing coaching and training as needed.
- Planning process, Demand Management process (within logistics) and Capacity planning.
- Warehouse processes, Inventory control and auditing.
- Key performance measures within the logistics scope, ensuring corrective actions are in place as required.
- Support the S&OP processes.
- Develop the Inventory targets by site and monitoring of these providing support as needed.
- Continuous improvement of internal logistics processes
- Continuous development of the logistics team
- Ensuring the adoption and best practice process use within all Logistic processes.
- Identify key drivers to improve plant efficiency.
- Develop a strategy to minimise Inventory holdings whilst maximising OTIF.
- Developing the best practice processes and implementation of these across all EU sites.
Competence profile (ideal)
- Educated to degree level or relevant qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience from Logistic Management roles in an Engineering environment with significant SAP knowledge.
- Fluent English second European language preferable.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Solid business and strategic understanding
- Strong drive and focus on results
- Ability to prioritize and to work under pressure
- Good team player with coaching skills.
