The successful Key Account Manager (f/m/d) will be responsible for the business and relationship development for Kongsberg Automotive off-highway (material handling, forklift) products to support the growth of Kongsberg Automotive revenue and profit.
The position will be based in Dortmund, Germany.


- Performing the function of Key Account Manager within the area of responsibility to become a competent and reliable contact person for the customer (one face to the customer), to recognize possible undesirable developments at an early stage and to initiate and/or carry out their elimination
- Identify the long-term strategies of customers and competitors, identify new business areas and develop demand forecasts to enable reliable and forward-looking planning of development and sales activities
- Establishing and maintaining long-term business relationships with customers in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction/demand and to gain market share as well as implementing the respective strategy of the company
- Identify market developments from a customer and competitor perspective
- Supervise and commercially coordinate developmental and logistical activities of the customer in the office and in the field to ensure customer satisfaction as well as to develop new customers and market shares
- Optimize internal costs and monitor cost limits, externally ensure adequate prices to deliver the highest possible contributions to the result
- Winning new customers in coordination with the development and PM organizational units
- Coordination of the commercial and technical development activities between the customer and Kongsberg, including subsequent product maintenance measures
- Ensure smooth communication channels to maintain and build trouble-free customer-supplier relationships internally and externally, this included to defines the best possible marketing fields (trade fairs, YouTube, social media...) to improve the external image


- University degree in mechatronics or similar
- Relevant years of industry experience in sales, technical sales or similar role
- Background knowledge in the Automotive industry, esp. special cars in the off-highway area (material handling) is a must
- Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs/challenges of assigned accounts
- Proven track record to drive global growth with significant customer exposure in a fast paced and changing environment
- Proactivity and pragmatism paired with willingness to create structure
- Proficiency in German and English
