The Functional Safety & Cybersecurity Manager (f/m/d) leads and coordinates the activities of mechatronic projects required to achieve compliance with relevant Automotive development standards.


  • Develop project safety, security, and quality plans to ensure product compliance according to the relevant standards and customer requirements
  • Lead and coordinate the creation of compliance documentation for the project
  • Act as an interface for external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, assessors, auditors) relating to exchanging compliance technical and non-technical requirements and data
  • Discuss functional safety and security requirements with the customer and cascade them to systems, subsystems, and component levels
  • Perform quality reviews during all product development phases (system, hardware, software)
  • Perform verification and confirmation reviews to ensure compliance with safety and security standards, including safety analyses D-FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, FFI, etc.
  • Support evaluation of customer change requests with regards to FUSA and ASPICE impact
  • Support in creating and maintaining Hardware-Software Interface specification
  • Collaborate with project managers, development team and customers on achieving compliance with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity in the product
  • Strong collaboration and cooperation with Project manager, Architects, Developers, Testers Identifying technical and process risks during product development and testing
  • Coordination in deciding and verifying followed Safety methods and measures, targets etc.
  • Coordination/supporting during functional safety audit and assessments



  • Master of Science in a relevant technical domain (electrical engineering, IT).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in development in automotive safety-related products.
  • Solid background in at least one field (electronics, embedded software, or system control strategy) and a good awareness of the others. Strong software background is required.
  • Detailed knowledge and proven experience with ISO 26262, familiar with automotive development and quality process.
  • Experience with system engineering approaches (requirements engineering management, functional analysis and allocation, architectural design, review, and testing).
  • Experience with change, configuration, and problem resolution management.
  • Solid knowledge of conducting safety analysis (D-FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA, FFI).
  • Knowledge in product development lifecycle and software development processes (e.g., IATF16949, A-SPICE, CMMI).
  • Knowledge on Automotive Cyber Security is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of vehicle architecture as well familiar with architecture best practices at functional and physical level, in which it can either be at vehicle or component level.
  • Capable to describe and communicate test cases, test scenarios, procedures, and methods Knowledge about product development process -ASPICE/CMMI-.
  • Familiar with the constraints of automotive environment
  • Work as an active member of the Engineering team, ensure effective communication between colleagues and positive contribute to meetings and briefings.
