About the position

The System and Software Quality Engineer is part of the independent quality organization. S/he performs project quality assurance activities to provide independent and objective assurance that work products and processes comply with predefined provisions and plans and that non-conformances are resolved and further prevented.

Responsibilities

-    Creation of the project-specific system and software quality plan according to the requirements of Automotive SPICE
-    Planning, monitoring and adjustment of quality assurance tasks
-    Ensuring work product quality through reviews and problem analysis
-    Ensuring process quality through audits (based on Automotive SPICE)
-    Create lessons learned reports that improve processes, methods, tools and work products for future projects
-    Tracking deviations or non-conformances found in process and work product quality assurance until closure
-    Create system and software quality status reports on a regular basis and escalate if needed
-    Definition of appropriate review strategy and methods for the relevant work products
-    Coaching of project team
-    Evaluation and approval of system and software deliveries

Requirements

 

•    Master of Science in a relevant technical domain (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering).
•    Good written and spoken English and German
•    A minimum of 3 years’ experience in development of automotive embedded software products.
•    Detailed knowledge and proven experience with Automotive SPICE, intacs certified Provisional Assessor is a plus
•    Good understanding of software development practices and quality methods, tools and standards
•    Experience with change, configuration, and problem resolution management.
•    Must have a thorough understanding of verification and validation processes, including early software defect detection and removal, inspection, and testing methods.
•    Should have knowledge about ISO 26262 (Functional Safety)
•    Should have experience with agile methods
•    Communication skills towards customers, suppliers, and development team
