About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tooling Responsible to join an established team at Kongsberg Automotive. 

As a key member of the Epila team; you will manage budget and Tooling team, meet internal needs, plan and control demands and support the engineering team. Will also develop and design equipment and tools to achieve optimum efficiency, minimum delivery time and zero defects in the manufacturing process. So, if you are self-motivated, with a background in Automotive and enjoy supporting and working closely with people across the globe, this may be the position for you! 

Responsibilities

You will plan and prepare the manufacturing methods and principles to ensure profitability and compliance with quality requirements, provide a complete value chain for the customer's specific product within the plant to meet the needs of the business unit and plant. 

Other key responsibilities include:

• Support design and development of tooling.

• Management of non-conformities and specific requirements to optimize the production process and satisfy customer requirements.

• Learn and introduce improvement techniques.

• Design guidelines book development.

• Plan the workload of tooling and tooling design.

• Contact with external providers of tooling design.

• Supply and management of the warehouse of components for the manufacture of tools.

• Contact with other plants for tools management and supply.

Requirements

If you have strong organizational and management skills and feel that you have a systematic and positive approach to dealing with issues this may be the right position for you.

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • From 2 to 5 years of previous experience in automotive in production departments.
  • Knowledge in CAD 3D software: inventor, catia, solidworks, …
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage teams.
  • High level of English, spoken and written.
  • Power Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
