About the position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join an established team at Kongsberg Automotive. This position involves close collaboration with colleagues and customers across Europe so if you are self motivated, with a background in Automotive Engineering and enjoy supporting and working closely with people across the globe, this may be the position for you.
Responsibilities
The right candidate will be responsible for the clients' projects, their definition and the management of the teams for the fulfillment of the agreed objectives and through the KA Management System. Will also optimize projects according to the introduction of new products (KBD-NPI) and Product Process Improvement (PIP). Take product or system projects, from idea to production execution in some of the manufacturing plants in KA and, monitoring of new opportunities with customers defined in cooperation with the commercial department, too.
Other key responsibilities include:
• Ensure that Project documents are created, maintained and updated through the PLM structure, understanding that this is a mandatory requirement.
• Regular implementation of project document meetings.
• Monitoring of KA management system and quality control routines.
• Planning and coordination of project deliverables. Overview and control of the economy (budget, billing, contribution, etc.) of the business.
• Achieve complete customer satisfaction.
• Report on the status of the project/program to the Steering Committee (STC).
• Be familiar with customer requirements (general and product-specific).
• Organize/attend project meetings as required (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.) with internal and customer project teams to ensure Kongsberg meets customer requirements.
• Establish and follow up on the main milestone plan and project objectives.
• Establish project rules and best practice routines. Organize and prioritize time between managing multiple projects. Budget tracking and monthly forecast update.
• Execute projects in accordance with KA Management System, Knowledge-Based Development, New Product Integration (KBD-NPI) and Product Improvement Process (PIP).
• Ensure the quality of all changes (technical, time planning and economic), using the KA Engineering Change Management (ECM) or Product Improvement Process (PIP) procedure.
• With reference to KBD-NPI, maintain strong working relationships with all cross-functional teams to affect timely responses to project needs.
• Review project budgets ensuring that projects are delivered within 100% of the approved budget at the start of the project, implementing recovery plans when this figure is exceeded.
• Manage cross-functional project team focus on all given conditions, schedule and budgets to ensure passage of planned project phases on time and in line with POI, KBD-NPI and PIP planning.
• Actively report to the bottom line on successes, areas for improvement, and programs at risk in a timely manner to ensure corrective action.

Requirements
If you have strong organisation and time management skills and feel that you have a systematic and positive approach to dealing with issues this may be the right position for you.
To be successful in the role you must have:
• BCs in Industrial engineering.
• High level of spoken and written English (compulsory) and German (recommended).
• 5 to 10 years of previous experience in the automotive sector in production, processes, metal and plastic product development departments.
• Proven experience in international project management and team management.
• Analytical profile with orientation to results and development of people.
• Communication skills, teamwork, initiative and time management.
• Knowledge in problem solving tools (Kaizen, 8D, etc.) and process audits.
• Power Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Knowledge in IATF 16949:2016
• APQP Knowledge
• Recommended knowledge in SAP and PLM
• Desirable SAP experience
