About the position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join an established team at Kongsberg Automotive. This position involves close collaboration with colleagues and customers across Europe so if you are self motivated, with a background in Automotive Engineering and enjoy supporting and working closely with people across the globe, this may be the position for you.
Responsibilities
The right candidate main goal will be to achieve more consistent production processes through technical and structured analysis of the different processes that make up the production flow of the Plant. Also, document, study and analyze the production process and implement improvements that bring efficiency to the processes.
Other key responsibilities include:
• Collaborate in the implementation of the line equipment to adjust the process to the best parameters from start-up.
• Definition, adjustment and approval of tools and machinery with external and internal suppliers.
• Establish and review first level maintenance guidelines.
• Review, improvement and documentation of work methods. Establish production and quality standards.
• Monitoring and improvements of productivity, scrap and stoppages of lines or machines under your responsibility
• Training and technical support for operators, assistants and team leaders in the operation and use of machinery, equipment or lines.
• Establish and follow PDCA. Review process AMFE.
Requirements
If you have strong organization and time management skills and feel that you have a systematic and positive approach to dealing with issues this may be the right position for you.
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma.
- From 2 to 5 years of previous experience in in automotive sector: production, processes, or metal and plastic products development.
- Knowledge in keumatics, hydraulics, PLC's, robotics...
- Desirable experience in processes of bending, forming, extrusion, assembly of components, and/or detection by artificial vision cameras.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Leadership in managing people, projects and problem solving.
- Analytical capacity and goal orientation.
- Power Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of CAD (CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, INVENTOR, ...).
- Knowledge of automotive standards IATF16949, PDCA / A3.
- Desirable experience in SAP.
- High level of English, spoken and written.
