This position is reporting to the Vice President Operations Europe and shall be based in a suitable Kongsberg Automotive (KA) site in Europe such as Mullsjö in Sweden, Hvittingfoss in Norway or Vrable in Slovakia.


  • Coach, deploy and implement the Continuous Improvement strategy in the P&C’s operational facilities in Europe and functions to improve efficiency, streamline processes and reduce costs within the business
  • Develop and conduct workshops and other training standards for the organization, to ensure one common standard for processes in all business functions
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and training to all levels of the organization on the use and practice of C.I. methodology and tools (e.g. 5S, visual controls, standardized work, VSM & A3, Heijunka, Jidoka, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
  • Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Develop appropriate dashboards & influence cross functional team members to meet aggressive C.I. Program’s and Business Targets
  • Mentor Engineering and Manufacturing Project Leaders and cross functional Team members and drive consistency across products and programs
  • Being an effective communicator throughout the organization on the implementation of C.I. thinking to help drive culture change and advance C.I. competencies
  • Develop infrastructure tools and supporting materials, including training to support the Kongsberg’s C.I. initiatives.



  • Bachelor or Master in a technical domain and with relevant practical experience
  • 8-10 years’ experience within Continuous Improvement, preferably in automotive or aerospace industry
  • Qualifications and strong experience on VAVE, Lean Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma
  • Result and solution oriented and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven record of successful cross-functional collaboration
  • Structured way of working and analytical competence
  • Ability to abstract and distinct communication skills
