Then join our team in Suffield CT, as a Quality Engineer where you will support internal and external quality concerns by identifying the root cause and instigating permanent corrective actions. You will be key in continuing to promote our strong quality culture towards customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and supplier development.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the design and implementation of IATF16949, ISO 9001, Customer Specific Requirements and required Quality Systems.
  • Recommend and purchase inspection and test equipment as required. Perform training on equipment as required.
  • Perform analysis of data utilizing Minitab and SPC data.
  • Design and implement SPC and other Quality Systems.
  • Assist in Continuous Improvement activities as required.
  • Assist Engineering in the development of product and process specifications.
  • Coordinate Process Capability Program.
  • Perform Measurement Systems Analysis (GR&R, Bias, etc.) as required.
  • Maintains the NCMR system.
  • Responsible for creating/coordinating customer PPAPs and requesting/coordinating supplier PPAPs as required.
  • Act as Quality liaison with Customers and Suppliers (Supplier Quality Representative).

Requirements

  • Automotive Core Tools experience preferred (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS). Note: A Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) with five (5) years Quality experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree requirement. 
  • Minimum five 1 years’ experience in an ISO 9001 environment with IATF 16949 environment preferred.
  • Minimum three 1 years’ experience as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, three (3) Certified Lead Internal ISO 9001/IATF 16949 auditor preferred
  • legally authorized to work in the U.S.
