Process Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

About the position

The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring the stability and continuous improvement of production processes in the areas of steel forming, heat treatment (hardening), and CNC machining.
The scope includes process optimization, development of new technologies, and implementation of the best available engineering solutions to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and developing the production process, including defining process steps, setting parameters, and standardizing workstations and operations
  • Driving continuous improvement and proposing solutions to optimize processes, technologies, and efficiency
  • Solving process and quality issues through root cause analysis and preventive actions
  • Preparing and maintaining process documentation – work standards, job instructions, and operating procedures
  • Taking part in design, purchasing, and implementation of new production lines and technologies, including tool selection and process validation
  • Participating in machine acceptance tests, new product launches, and production transfers
  • Analyzing production and quality data to identify trends and improvement areas
  • Achieving targets defined within KPIs and reporting progress clearly and fact-based
  • Ensuring effective communication across teams, departments, and external partners
  • Performing all duties in line with occupational health & safety and environmental protection standards
  • Executing other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, supporting the team when needed

Requirements

  • Knowledge of technologies such as steel hardening, forming, and CNC machining
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
  • Familiarity with IATF16949 and automotive quality standards
  • Practical knowledge of 5Why, 8D, and FMEA methodologies
  • Experience in project management for new products, technologies, and production stations
  • Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering (Metallurgy recommended)
  • Very good command of English and Polish
  • Willingness to learn, improve qualifications, and share knowledge
  • Strong teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
