Logistics Planner/Inside Sales Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping operations.
• Maintain inventory levels necessary for production, along with shipping and office supplies.
• Responsible for a small assembly department, this includes, but not limited to, ordering materials for marine assembly, scheduling production, and all customer contact.
• Communicate with customers regarding schedules and lead times.
• Inventory management and cycle counts.
• Leading the process for customer RFQs including quotes, APQP through prototype delivery and APQP through PPAP delivery to automotive customers.
• Work with customers to obtain approvals for updated prints to meet our process capabilities.
• Create, organize and provide analysis of historical, current and future awarded business.  Communicate data and ideals to all departments.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing on part feasibility, timing and cost.
• Act as a backup for production scheduling and shipping supervisor as needed.
• Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers. 
• Additional duties as directed by management.

Kongsberg Automotive has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Planner/Inside Sales Coordinator at the Grand River, OH facility. The ideal candidate is motivated, eager, and ready to hit the ground running. The Grand River plant is part of the Flow Control Systems business area and specializes in the production of Fluoro-Comp® hoses.  

Requirements

• Must have an understanding of manufacturing workflows, transfers between work centers, calculations of lead times and capacity limitations.
• ERP experience preferred; SAP experience helpful.
• Proficient with MS Office products, advanced level with Excel.
• Flexible, ability to cope with unforeseen situations
• Ability to plan and organize tasks
• Clear orientation to the client
• Strong work ethic and great initiative
• Hands on, team oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Direct customer contact, program manage experience and working closely with engineers
• Mechanical aptitude helpful
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
• College degree preferred
• Automotive industry helpful
