Quality Engineer

About the position

This Quality Engineer role is an integral part of the Kongsberg Automotive Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with all ISO9001 and IATF16949 regulations. Taking a lead role in corrective actions related to both customer and supplier concerns, the Quality Engineer is a team player in cross-functional teams in the 8D process, including  root cause analysis such as 5-Why's, Fishbone, and deploying other analytical tools.  Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QE works with other members of the Quality team, as well as with Manufacturing Engineering, Production and other functional areas within the plant to meet all standards set by the QMS system, assuring that Kongsberg Automotive is delivering to the expectations of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Representing Kongsberg Automotive in the front of customers, during 8D review meetings and during the visit/audits on site

• Managing complaints and communication with the client

• 8D reporting with the use of automotive core tools
• Conducting Quality Improvement Plans (QIP)
• Supervision over the quality of the production process
• Reporting of top defects in production quality, final inspection and scrap
• Analyzing trends and taking corrective actions
• Internal system, process, product and LPA audits
• Preparation of documentation, including: QCP, PFMEA, instructions etc.
• Completing and checking PPAP + PSW documentation in the portal, communication on missing elements (productions under alert)
• Participation in design meetings and R@R productions
• Conducting MSA R&R
• Quality trainings of the production team

Requirements

• 2 years of work experience in the production industry in the automotive industry.
• Higher education in the field of Quality Management, Production Management and Engineering, Materials Science and related or adequate experience
• Knowledge of automotive core tools, including Problem solving
• Knowledge of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 and 6.5
• Knowledge of English at the B2 level.
• Independence, flexibility, proactivity and good organization of work.
• Ability to work under time pressure.
• Responsibility and commitment to the duties performed.
• Communicativeness and the ability to work in a team.
