About the position
A Warranty Engineer is a qualified worker responsible for handling complaints from the field, so-called warrants that are advertised through direct customers through their communication portals. At the same time, is responsible for communicating with the customer representative for the warranty of the complaint, ensuring the analysis of parts, defining remedial measures with the support team and monitoring the effectiveness of the established remedial measures. Warranty Engineer monitors the costs associated with warranty claims and analyses them in order to prevent them from occurring in the future.
Responsibilities

- Register and maintenance Customer website, monitor quality/warranty performance at customer end, and assessment the customer scorecard as required frequency.
- Collect, analyze and diagnose warranty failure, negotiate with customer for warranty cost on the month base.
- Focus on main quality issues with actions for continuous improvement to achieve zero defect target.
- Deal with customer complaints, leading cross-function team to identify root cause and generate corrective action plan and resolve quality issues to meet customer satisfactory.
- Provide trainings if needed to related departments to let involvers know what quality standards are.
- Monitor and follow up warranty cost process
- Develop and share Lessons Learned
- Compliance with company quality policy and guidelines
- Conformity of customer requirements (including specific) with manufactured products/production processes
- Ensures primary customer contact and builds/improves customer relationships in the area of warranty
- Monitors the costs of poor quality associated with warranty claims and suggests measures to optimize them
- Regularly evaluates the TOP worst products/problems through statistical tools
- Monitors and updates customer portals for warranty complaints on a daily basis
- Ensures the analysis of the claimed parts and the definition of remedial measures with the support team and the monitoring of the effectiveness of the remediation measures in place.
- Participates in FMEA reviews with its knowledge of defects claimed from the field to support and improve the prevention and detection of errors
- Communicates with other processes/plants through Lesson Learned
Requirements
- Education of a university in engineering, technical or electrical engineering direction or experience in a similar position min. 4 years in the automotive industry, min.2 years in the quality department
- English Language Proficiency - B2 Level
- Knowledge of French at level B2 – an advantage
- Knowledge of the German language – an advantage
- Knowledge of 8D methods, SPC – statistical methods, quality tools, APQP, FMEA, LPA
- Knowledge of drawings
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA
- Knowledge of customer requirements
