Purchasing Project Manager

About the position

We are looking for Purchasing Project Manager who are proactive and experienced in managing their assigned supplier and project relationships.

This role actively contributes to successful program management and new product launches within Business Unit/Segment, delivers resourcing initiatives and drives savings and implementation of Category strategies.

This position will be based in Warsaw/Poland.

Responsibilities

• Being a team member of Purchasing in the Business Unit/Segment’s NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and PIP’s (Product Improvement Projects).
• Making Project planning for purchasing activities in NPI/PIP projects and lead the execution as well as maintaining reporting
• During the project, make sure project deliverables from supplier side are met on time and on budget
• Supporting sales and engineering with project cost and pricing objectives in close cooperation with the Category Buyers and CMO
• Carry out RFQ kick-offs with correct data and teams
• Managing engineering changes
• Communicating with Category team about specific supplier needs and support investigation of new supplier base when required
• Initiating and coordinating supplier VAVE activities, including organization of supplier days and workshops
• Planning and leading other projects related to purchasing deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor's/master's degree or relevant qualification
• Technical understanding or engineering background will be a plus
• Commercial background, attention to detail, appreciation of Global economics
• Experience in procurement and dealing with direct material into manufacturing operations
• Business fluent in English (written & spoken) with good communication skills
• Computer literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems and ERP
• Good organisation skills, ability to prioritize
• Project management

• Proactivity and drive to continuous improvement
• Willingness to travel
