2. Main objectives

Perform HW design projects while working in close consultation with the application team in each business unit. Expert in electronics engineering and develops, validates and launches new components of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical systems to support new sales opportunities and maintain Kongsberg Automotive as a leader in it’s field. Takes part in establishing specification proposals for new products and services, and provides cost analysis for developing quotes. As an expert in this field, you resolve questions related to applications and supports development and validation of various products.

3. Main responsibility

• Analyzes and interpret the customer requirements to determine feasibility of product proposal.
• Support Electronic system design and perform calculation for main functions.
• Electronic detailed schematic and layout design.
• Resolve issues with EMC
• Review technical work of other engineer and technical associated to his/her projects.
• Maintain relation with internal and external customer engineers working on the product design.
• Establish system design in order to re-use some as building block for other products and improve the validation cycle.
• Design / validate / launch variants of system and electronics application components to support new sales opportunities.
• Plan and develop experimental test programs.
• Determine if the design meets functional and performance specifications by analyzing data and reports
• Write documentation and to provide information necessary for documentation system.

5.       Requirements (idealistic)

• MSc / BSc Engineering degree or similar.
• Degree within electrical engineering, or related fields of study in electronics
• 3+ years’ experience of automotive electronic hardware design and testing.
• Strong background in embedded electronics design
• Experience in embedded products with plastic, metal and electronics produced with different manufacturing procedures
• Good in spoken and written English
